Help raise money for ovarian cancer research and awareness activities
Team formed in memory of former teacher's aide for Teal Ribbon 5K/1 Mile Walk

August 30, 2010—Friends and students of former Schalmont High School teacher’s aide Sandie Stryjek, who lost her courageous battle with ovarian cancer last January, have formed a team in her memory for the Teal Ribbon 5K Run/1 Mile Walk.

Please consider joining the team and participating in the run/walk on Sunday, September 12, at 9 a.m. at Washington Park in Albany, or donating online to her memory.

The Teal Ribbon Run/Walk, coordinated by Caring Together, Inc., seeks to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and raise funds in support of research toward developing an early detection test as well as more effective treatment options for women with recurrent ovarian cancer. All money raised is donated to ovarian cancer research and awareness activities.
