25, 2010—Congratulations to a group of Schalmont Central School
District fourth- and fifth-graders who recently performed as
part of New York state's Elementary Children's Honor Choir.
The students are Haven
Goldstein, Justin Marotta, Rebecca Mathurin, Mikayla Schaefer,
Megan Stuart and Gabrielle VanDyk.
They were among 125
elementary students selected statewide to perform during the New
York State Music Association's (NYSSMA) Summer Conference on
August 10 in Albany.
Students sang under the
direction of
Fred Meads, director of vocal studies at the acclaimed American
Boychoir School, and were prepped by
Jefferson
Elementary School music teacher Kathleen Bragle.
Congratulations to our
Schalmont students for this great honor!
