SCPHS to Offer H1N1 Vaccine at Open Public Clinic

Schenectady County Public Health Services will offer the H1N1 vaccine to county residents who fall within certain target groups and who are between the ages of 3 and 64 years old on Saturday, Dec. 12, at Pinewood Intermediate School, 901 Kings Rd., Schenectady.

The target groups, according to the CDC, include the following:

  • Pregnant women
  • People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age (NOTE: At this clinic, SCPHS will only offer vaccines to those who are between the ages of 3 and 64 years old)
  • Healthcare and emergency medical services personnel
  • Persons between the ages of 6 months and 24 years old
  • People between the ages of 25 through 64 years old who have chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems

Call 631-0840 to schedule an appointment. You must schedule an appointment to receive the vaccine. No walk-ins will be accepted.

Beginning on Friday, Dec. 11, you should be able to visit www.schenectadycounty.com to schedule an appointment online.
