The
referendum on Bond 2007 will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 6
a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Schalmont High School New Gym foyer, 1
Sabre Dr.
To be eligible to
vote, a person must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older,
and have been a district resident for at least 30 days prior to
the vote. No pre-registration is required, but personal
identification/proof of residency is required (e.g. driver’s
license with current address, utility bill showing resident’s
name and current address). No one will be allowed to vote
without identification.
District residents may vote by absentee ballot if
they are unable to appear in person on Oct. 16. To receive an
absentee ballot, voters must obtain an application from the
District Office or download a copy by

here. The application must be returned to the DO at least
seven days before the election if the absentee ballot is to be
mailed to the voter, or at least one day before the election if
the ballot is to be picked up personally by the voter at the DO,
between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Absentee ballots must be returned
by no later than 5 p.m. on election day. For more
