Information you will need to register a new student:

• The original birth certificate
• Records of immunizations
• Social Security card
• The most recent report card
• IEP (Individual Education Plan), if applicable
• Two (2) Proofs of district residency (utility or telephone bill, rental agreement, tax bill, document from closing with name & address together)

Kindergarten Registration
Children who will become five years or older on or before December 1, 2012, are eligible to start kindergarten in September 2012. All kindergarten students attend Jefferson Elementary School.

Kindergarten registration packets will be mailed in January 2012 to the families of students in the district's census who are eligible to attend kindergarten during the 2012-2013 school year. Please contact Denise Koskey as soon as possible at 518-355-1342, ext. 5080, to make sure you are on the mailing list.

Kindergarten registration and an orientation program will be held for parents and children at Jefferson Elementary School on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. To streamline the registration process, parents should complete and return the necessary paperwork in advance of the spring event, which also serves as opportunity to become more familiar with the kindergarten program and some of the staff. Students will take a short bus ride and participate in other fun activities.
