On March 19, 1955, the residents of our community took a giant leap of faith when they approved a plan to centralize 13 small, independent school districts, creating the Schalmont Central School District. Two years later, the brand new Schalmont Junior-Senior High School first opened its doors. That is why the 2006 - 2007 school year will be devoted to celebrating our district's rich heritage; the students, faculty and staff who've walked our halls; and the community whose support means so much to us. Celebration details and articles highlighting our district's history are posted below.

50th Anniversary Celebration Week
Schalmont Central School District celebrated its rich heritage the week of April 23 - 27, 2007, with events such as a rededication ceremony, special concerts, school "open house" activities, and more!
