Carl F. Strang is serving
his third term on the Schalmont Board of Education. He is the
director of the Northeastern Regional Information Center (NERIC),
which provides enhanced technology services, support, hardware,
and training to 137 school districts.
Strang previously served as the director of
technology at Saratoga Springs City Schools, a teacher and coach
at Mohonasen High School, and a U.S. Army officer in Europe.
In May 2007, Strang was selected by Microsoft
Corp. to serve a three-year term on its National K-12 Advisory
Council. He also volunteers for the Schalmont Dollars for
Scholars, coaches Jefferson Cyber Challenge and Rotterdam Youth
Soccer, and serves on the Schalmont Technology Committee.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Union College
and a master’s degree from SUNY Albany.
Strang lives in Rotterdam with his wife, Kimberly, and their
three children. |
