  • League Standing: Fifth Place
  • Team Scholar-Athlete Award
  • Aaron Pommer (sr.): Team MVP; Exceptional Senior Game participant; Kirvin Cup All-Star
  • David Troiano (sr.): Colonial Council/Section II Scholar-Athlete nominee
  • Steven Brucker (jr.): Team Sportsmanship Award
  • Anthony Metzold (jr.): Second Team Colonial Council All-Star; led Section II with 86.6 FT %

Boys Varsity Bowling - 2008-09:

  • Overall Record: 11.5 wins, 6.5 losses
  • League Standing: fourth place with 10.5 wins, 5.5 losses
  • Finished third at Colonial Council Tournament

  • Finished third at Class B sectionals

  • Finished second at Rotterdam Invitational

  • Brian Constantino had high single (280) and high triple (754)

  • Colonial Council All-stars:

    • 1st team - Nick Caputo

    • 2nd team - Adam Lawyer

  • Schalmont co-MVPs: Nick Caputo and Adam Lawyer

  • Schalmont Most Improved Player: Steve Oliveira

Boys Varsity Swimming - 2008-09:

  • A joint program with Mohonasen High School
  • Team placed second at the Section II Division I championships
  • Devin Hallam, the member of the team from Schalmont:
    • 200 MR at 1:38.77, team finished 12th in New York State All American Consideration
    • 500 Freestyle at 5:09.63, setting a school record
    • 200 Free relay at 1:27.78, team finished third in NYS AAC
    • 400 Free relay at 3:22.27, team set a school record
    • One of four team members selected to attend the state championships. Competing team came in 12th out of 146 schools in the NYS Public High School standings.  

Girls Varsity Basketball - 2008-09:

  • Overall Record: 3 wins, 17 losses
  • League Standing: 2 wins, 16 losses
  • Kelly Piotrowski selected for the Colonial Council all-star second team
  • Jeana Longo selected for Exceptional Seniors Game

Girls Varsity Bowling - 2009-10:

  • Overall Record: 13 wins, 0 losses
  • League Standing: 12 wins, 0 losses
  • Section II Class B Champion (second year in a row)

  • Colonial Council Champion and Colonial Council Tournament Champion (third year in a row)

  • Rotterdam Invitational Champion

  • 33-match winning streak

  • Liz Kuhlkin - first team league All-star, third hi average league 218.5, league hi triple 752, team co-MVP, set all-time sectional record for girls with score of 1434, member of sectional All-star team that won state championship

  • Natasha Bidwell - co-MVP of league, second hi average league 219, league hi single 279, team co-MVP, member of sectional All-star team that won state championship

  • Meredith Juers - second team league All-star, fourth hi average league 204, member of sectional All-star team that won state championship

  • Julian Heiwel - second team league All-star, fifth hi average league 197.7, team co-most improved player

  • Nicole Leone - 10th hi average league 180

  • Nicole Gentile - team co-most improved player

Cheerleading - 2009-10:

  • Second place finish in CNY Winter Cheer Classic hosted at HVCC on January 30, 2010
  • Took first place out of four teams in Midnight Madness competition hosted at Schenectady High School on February 6, 2010
  • Took first place out of 10 teams in Bluestreak Cup Championship competition hosted at Saratoga High School on February 27, 2010

Hockey - 2008-09:

  • A joint program with Mohonasen High School

  • Overall Record: 5 wins, 15 losses

  • Schalmont players Kyle McKelvey, forward, and Petter Lundgren, defense, were named Section II All-stars.

  • Kyle McKelvey was this year's Capital District High School Hockey League lead scorer.

    • Alyssa Alex 4th in the 3,000 Meters

    • Kristina Strang 3rd in the 55 meter hurdles

    • Kristen Lancto 2nd in the High Jump

  • Sectionals (Division 3)

    • Kristina Strang 6th in 55 meters, 3rd in 55 meter hurdles

    • Alyssa Alex 6th in 3,000 meters

    • Bethany Biernat 3rd in 1500 meter race walk

    • Elaine Kriss 4th in 1500 meter race walk

    • Kristen Lancto 2nd in High jump

    • Fourth place overall
