What is the Alumni Wall of Distinction?
The Schalmont High School Alumni Wall of Distinction was established during the district’s 50th anniversary celebrations to honor alumni who have made significant contributions to their school, community and/or country. Wall of Distinction honorees serve as role models for our students and as symbols of the high caliber of graduates produced by our district. Their examples are intended to inspire and motivate our students to excel, both in academics and in life.

How do I nominate someone?
The district is no longer accepting nominations for the 2012 Alumni Wall of Distinction. Nomination forms were due by March 19, 2012.

What happens if the person I nominated is not selected this year?
If you nominate someone and he/she is not selected this year, his/her nomination will be kept on file for reconsideration the following year. He/she also will receive a letter confirming the nomination and inviting him/her to submit additional information for consideration in the following year.

How are honorees recognized?
Selected honorees, or their representatives if they were nominated posthumously, will be asked to attend the induction ceremony and reception at the high school. This year's ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 4:30 p.m. It is open to the public. Learn more about the 2012 honorees. Everyday, students pass by the Alumni Wall of Distinction, which features plaques for each honoree with their biography and picture, in the high school lobby.
