Children aren’t the only ones
who benefit from quality local schools. In the fall of 2007,
almost 500 adults made the most of their school district by
registering for classes through the Schalmont Central School
District Adult Education Program. Classes are held at one of
our five schools, usually in the late afternoon or evening.
This spring, district schools are again open to
adults in the community who want to have some healthy fun, learn
new skills or creatively express themselves. Classes are offered
in five categories:
-
Creative Arts
-
Health and Fitness
-
Life Skills
-
Technology
-
Trips
Most classes are offered at a minimal fee, and
several are free to senior citizens who are district residents.
You must register for all programs even though there may be no
cost for the course. Registration information can be found in
the
Spring 2008 Adult Education Program Brochure.
Registration will occur on a "first come, first
served" basis, so be sure to register early. Some classes start
as soon as Monday, February 25, 2008.
Once your check is received in the district
office, you are considered registered. You will not receive a
registration confirmation, but you will be notified if a
class is full or canceled.
